November Writing

We are finally in the “right” time for America. Or is it wrong, or are both right? Have we the power to increase the sunlight? Sadly, no, but we like to pretend we do. To save the daylight: “It’s a fine goal, to be sure,” Pippin or someone would say. Whatever daylight saving time is or does, it leaves me with some energy and time in the evenings to write. Nanowrimo as a company may be no more, but the idea of writing a novel or most of one in the month of November is still a thing for some writers.

The goal: 40,000 words and working mostly on this particular “Grandma” story I have been picking away at it. It’s a fairy story and a bit goofy, but I like it. The idea came from my love of Korean Dramas, so it’s set in an alternate Asia, alternate Seoul, has a bit of a fall theme, which will go into winter and then spring! The season of cherry blossoms and love.

To those of you writing this November: Good for you and have fun! Even if no one reads it, writing a story is good creativity for the brain and you will be better off for it. Grammar, spelling, making deadlines, realizing emotional and cathartic hit points. Yay! And it’s a story that you want to read too!
